Los Angeles

Los Angeles is a city in Southern California, Los Angeles is the second-largest city in the United States of America, after New York.

The Los Angeles music scene of the late 1960s included The Mothers of Invention as well as the Doors,^[1] Sonny & Cher, Nancy Sinatra, the Byrds, and the Monkees.^[2]

Frank Zappa

In 1965, Zappa lived in Echo Park in Los Angeles, removing to Formosa Avenue at Sunset Boulevard in L.A. the same year. ^[3]. Between 1966 and 1967, Zappa lived at Kirkwood Drive in Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles, where Gail Zappa moved in with him. ^[4]. After a stay in New York (1967-1968), ^[5].Zappa moved to The Log Cabin (May-September 1968), until finally settling at 7885 Woodrow Wilson Drive in the Hollywood Hills, L.A., where he would lived until his death in 1993. ^[6].

Frank Zappa and his band performed in Los Angeles several times, namely at Mount St. Mary's College, Brave New World, Cafe Unicorn, Canter's Deli, Cosmo Alley Cafe, The Action, The Trip, Vito's Studio & Store, Whisky a Go-Go, the Danish Center, the Shrine Exposition Hall, the Lindy Opera House, Wrigley Stadium, the Cheetah, Pandora's Box, Aquarius Theatre, Thee Experience, Ash Grove, the UCLA, the Olympic Auditorium, the Hollywood Palladium, the Pauley Pavilion, the Hollywood Bowl, the US Roxy, Royce Hall, the Sports Arean and the Palace Theater.
