Stripcombers

Stripcombers was a biker bar at 8301 Sunset Boulevard on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California. In 1969, it became a vegetarian restaurant, under the new name The Source.

Frank Zappa "advertised" Stripcombers in the sleeve of Freak Out!, under the header "Freak Out! Hot Spots"... . He described it as follows: "The Stripcombers is HAPPENING for black leather jackets and motorcycle boots if that is your bag. Keen fun at 8301 Sunset Blvd (for pertinent information phone the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station)."
