London is the capital of England and of all of the United Kingdom.

Frank Zappa
In Data For Sensitive or Critical-sensitive Position (1968), Zappa named London among his "favorite other stuff". During his lifetime, he performed at the Royal Albert Hall, The Speakeasy Club, UK, the Coliseum, the Rainbow Theatre, the Hammersmith Odeon, The Barbican Theatre and the Wembley Arena.
However, throughout his career, he had several negative experiences in London, which made him more cynical and dismissive of the place.
Zappa performed twice in the Royal Albert Hall, but in 1971 he and The Mothers were banned for obscenity, causing Zappa to sue them for contract breach, defended by Mr. Ogden in front of judge Mr. Justice Mocatta. Later that year, on 10 December 1971, during the 71/12/10 London UK Rainbow Theatre concert, Zappa was pushed off stage by deranged audience member Trevor Charles Howell, forcing him to revalidate for months.
In 1984, Zappa also rehearsed, performed and recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra (The Orchestra), but he was highly dissatisfied with the experience and end results.
