George Duke (January 12, 1946, San Rafael, CA) is an American pianist, synthesizer and keyboard player and singer. He began playing with Jean-Luc Ponty in 1969.
Duke was a prominent member of Zappa's band during the 1970s. He claimed that Zappa freed him from his snobbish and serious attitude towards music.
