San Bernardino is a city in Southern California.
In the late 1950s, Zappa played in Tommi Sandi's Club Sahara in San Bernardino, as part of a lounge band named Joe Perrino & The Mellotones. Between 1960 and 1964, he lived in Ontario in the San Bernardino county.
After being arrested for recording a pornographic tape in 1965, Zappa spent ten days in the San Bernardino County Jail.
