Frank Zappa
In 1984, Zappa held a lecture at the American Society of University Composers in Columbus, Ohio.
In 1988, when he promoted voter registration, Ohio Secretary of State Sherrod Brown named Frank Zappa honorary Secretary of State (see also: A Talk With Frank Zappa, 1988).
