[[Tom Wilson]] was a record producer in the Sixties. He first worked for [[Columbia Records]], then went to [[Verve Records]]. He has produced records for [[Simon & Garfunkel]], [[Bob Dylan]], and [[The Velvet Underground]]. He signed [[The Mothers Of Invention]] to [[Verve Records]] in 1965/1966, and was credited as producer on the groups seminal debut album "[[Freak Out!]]" (1966) although it is widely believed that FZ did most of the real production work.

Thomas Blanchard Wilson Jr.

Born: 1931, Waco, Texas

Died: September 6, 1978, Los Angeles


Graduated from Harvard in 1954 and set up his own jazz record label, Transition, in 1955. Worked as a radio producer in the late 1950's.
