The music of Frank Zappa and his infamous Mothers of Invention proudly displays the deep and lasting influence that rock-and-roll can have on impressionable young minds. Lyrically, the Mothers, as they are affectionally known, range from the overt banality of early rock to the vitriolic pungency of their trenchant social criticism, but they never fail to interest and amuse.
Their notoriety has increased with every stage through which their bizarre career has evolved, but they remain unaffected by it, and are still the good clean socially acceptable young men that their mothers once loved. The highlights of their golden era are preserved here in black plastic, for you and for posterity.
