Background Information

The woman on the cover of the Hot Rats album crawling out of the crypt is Christine Frka.

The musician Captain Beefheart is an alias for Don van Vliet, who appears on the inside back cover of Hot Rats holding a vacuum cleaner. Similar images from the photoset appear throughout the Beefheart 5 CD set Grow Fins. 2 photos of Ian Underwood appear on the inside spread of Hot Rats along with FZ images in studio activity.
