Mr. Rogers
Fred Rogers (1928-2003) was the host of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood (1968-2001), a long-running, beloved and frequently awarded children's TV program on PBS. The TV show was praised for its kind and socially conscious attitude towards young viewers of all ethnicities and genders, while also daring to address difficult topics like divorce, violence and death.
Apart from being a TV presenter, Mr. Rogers also crafted puppets and wrote music for his shows.
Frank Zappa
Frank Zappa sometimes quoted from the theme song of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood during concerts.
According to Morgan Neville, director of the documentary Won't You Be My Neighbor, Mr. Rogers actually listened to Zappa's music and found it interesting: "His son, Jim, when he became a teenager, Fred was trying to stay in touch with his son, and he'd say, 'What are you listening to?' So Jim would give his dad mixtapes, and so he gave his dad a bunch of Frank Zappa. And his dad, who was a composer, thought it was very interesting, because Zappa's music was really out there. "[1]

"There's an assortment of 'stock modules' used in our stage arrangements. It helps if the guys in the band appreciate the musical humor of what's going on. Sometimes they do -- and sometimes they don't. (If a guy can't willingly 'put on the lampshade' and play stooge rock, he's probably wrong for the job.) When talking in The Real Frank Zappa Book about the new young executives who don't like to take risks with musical releases nowadays, Zappa wrote: "Things will not improve until these cocksuckers move back to Mister Rogers' Neighborhood."
