Summer '82: When Zappa Came to Sicily is a 2013 Italian documentary, directed and presented by Sicilian film maker Salvo Cuccia, in which he looks back at the summer of 1982, when Frank Zappa performed in Palermo and was brought to Partinicio, where his father and grandfather were born [1], by Massimo Bassoli [2]
In the film, Gail Zappa, Dweezil Zappa, Diva Zappa and Moon Zappa visit Sicily to meet relatives of Frank Zappa. The documentary also features appearances by Massimo Bassoli, Tanino Liberatore, Thomas Nordegg, Joe Travers, Steve Vai and (in archive footage) Frank Zappa.
