Bolivar
BUFO BOREALIS [12-16 / 30º-75º], one of the constellations in the "One Size Fits All" (1975) "universe", has a star named "Bolivar".
This could have been a reference to Simon Bolivar (1783-1830), one of South America's greatest generals: his victories over the Spaniards won independence for Bolivia, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela; he is therefore called "El Liberator" (The Liberator) and the "George Washington of South America". Well, this is close, but no cigar! In fact, it IS a reference to a cigar (in God's hand on the front cover of "One Size Fits All"). Bolivar Cigars (founded in 1901 by the Rocha company), named after Simon Bolivar, is a fine quality Cuban cigar - one of the oldest and most celebrated Havanas with their Belicosos being among the most sought-after - probably not available legally in the US. These powerful, complex cigars offer characteristic spiciness, with deep dark roasted flavours of coffee, nuts, and a good earthy base. Only recommended to the experienced smoker.
For completeness' sake: there is also a Bolivar Counrty (Cleveland, Mississippi), and a Bolivar town (located on Highway 13 about 25 miles north of Springfield in Southwest Missouri).
