Jules Feiffer (26 January 1929) is a U.S. cartoonist and comics artist, most famous for his long-running satirical cartoon series Feiffer (1956-1997) in the Village Voice. Feiffer's cartoons became popular for expressing left-wing, progressive points-of-view about politics and society in a humorous way. By 1959 they were syndicated nationally. Feiffer won numerous awards for his work, including a 1986 Pulitzer Prize, and influenced countless alternative cartoonists. He was also active as a playwright, screenwriter, children's book author and non-fiction author. His best known play is Little Murders (1967), while his most famous film script is Carnal Knowledge (1971).

Zappa named Jules Feiffer in his influences list in the sleeve of Freak Out! (1966), under the heading "These People Have Contributed Materially In Many Ways To Make Our Music What It Is. Please Do Not Hold It Against Them". Feiffer is notable as the only cartoonist on that list.
