Missing Persons
Missing Persons was an American rock band, active between 1980 and 1986, featuring Dale Bozzio (vocals), Warren Cuccurullo (guitar), Patrick O'Hearn (bass) and Chuck Wild (keyboards).
Since all its members were Zappa musicians, they recorded their first EP, Missing Persons (1982), in Zappa's Utility Muffin Research Kitchen. [1] Missing Persons had minor hits with Words (1982),Destination Unknown (1982), Windows (1983), Walking in L.A. (1983), Give (1984) and I Can't Think About Dancin' (1986).
Interviewed by Steve Rosen in Frank Zappa, 82/06 (Record Review, June 1982), Frank Zappa said he liked Dale Bozzio's voice and Missing Persons' song Mental Hopskotch.
Japanese musician Sugizo discovered Frank Zappa through his love for Missing Persons and Steve Vai.
