"Beavis and Butt-head" was an American animated TV series that ran on MTV from 1993 until 1997.

It featured two extremely dumb teenagers, Beavis and Butt-head, whose only purpose in life seems to be watching television and grinning about everything they see and encounter. They both want to "score with chicks", but always fail since they are too stupid to know how. Yet they always discover sexual references in things other people say to them, which amuses them immensely. They divide the entire world in things that are "cool" and things that "suck". The program became one of the most iconic cult tv shows of the 1990s.

During his final life year Zappa claimed he only watched Beavis and Butt-head, Mystery Science Theater 3000 and The Simpsons as entertainment on television.

In one of the Beavis and Butt-head episodes, "Canoe" (October 1994) the braindead duo watch Zappa's music video You Are What You Is, but become so annoyed at what they see that they change the channel. Since Beavis and Butt-head rarely changed the program, even if they hated the music video they were watching, this scene angried a lot of Zappa fans. However, Mike Judge, the creator of the show claimed it was one of Zappa's wishes before he died. (See Mike Judge).
