After becoming famous for hanging out with the upcoming stars in LA in the late 1960's started working as a radio DJ in the early 1970's. The self styled Mayor Of Sunset Strip.
He appeared in episodes of The Monkees TV series. Often portraying himelf in films such as: Uncle Meat, "Back To The Beach" and "End Of The Century".
Played a club owner in "Repo Man" (1984)
Provided vocal content on Zappa's Side Project album An Evening With Wild Man Fischer
