The Byrds were a Los Angeles band including Roger McGuinn and David Crosby.[1] The Real Frank Zappa Book described them as "the be-all and end-all of Los Angeles rock in the mid-1960s."[2]
In 1966 The Byrds performed at The Big T.N.T. Show, where Frank Zappa was filmed inside the audience.
They are subject of Frank Zappa's song Groupie Bang Bang: "Byrds and Stones dig the way she dance / And ev'ry damn one gets in her pants / Paul McCartney and Ringo too /Say she balls better than Epstein do"
