Missing Persons was an American rock band, active between 1980 and 1986, featuring Dale Bozzio (vocals), Warren Cuccurullo (guitar), Patrick O'Hearn (bass), Chuck Wild (keyboards) and Terry Bozzio (drums).
Since all its members were Zappa musicians, they recorded their first EP, Missing Persons (1982), in Zappa's Utility Muffin Research Kitchen. [1] Zappa and Gail also received a golden record from Capitol Records, after the debut album by Missing Persons, Spring Session M sold over 500,000 copies. This framed golden record was auctioned in 2016, after Zappa's former home in 7885 Woodrow Wilson Drive was sold. [2]

Interviewed by Steve Rosen in Frank Zappa, 82/06 (Record Review, June 1982), Frank Zappa said he liked Dale Bozzio's voice and Missing Persons' song Mental Hopskotch.
Japanese musician Sugizo discovered Frank Zappa through his love for Missing Persons and Steve Vai.
