The "Alfa Romeo" story began when the "Società Italiana Automobili Darracq" was founded in 1906 with the aim of manufacturing low cost Darracq motor cars. Unfortunately that company quickly ran into difficulties when the once booming car market began to falter. The Darracq factory that had been built in the Portello district of Milan was then sold to a group of Italian car enthusiasts who called themselves the "Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili" (ALFA) in 1910. Success was to be short lived, because the company went into liquidation in 1915, and was then taken over by an engineer and entrepreneur called Nicola Romeo (born in S. Antimo near Naples in 1876). He graduated in engineering in 1900 and spent some years gaining work experience abroad. He then returned to Italy where, in 1911, he founded a company that made mining machinery and equipment. He was so successful that, in 1915, he purchased Alfa's Portello factory and began manufacturing military equipment - World War I had started and the Italian government was in urgent need of trucks and engines... We now know "Alfa Romeo" as a manufacturer of great sports cars.

Alpha Romeo is one of the stars in the "One Size Fits All" (1975) "universe". Cal Schenkel had this type of car; he also had a 49 Plymouth, which is a star in the LEO LIMON [8-10 / 0º-30º] constellation in the "One Size Fits All" (1975) "universe".
