P.F. Sloan (18 September 1945 - 15 November 2015) was an American pop, rock and folk musician, songwriter and music producer. Sloan wrote the lyrics to the folk-rock protest song "Eve of Destruction" (1965), which became a hit performed by Barry McGuire. Sloan additionally wrote songs for, among others, Johnny Rivers, Jan and Dean, The Turtles ("Let Me Be" [1965], "You Baby" [1966], "Can I Get To Know You Better?" [1966]), Herman's Hermits and The Grass Roots.
