Eric Buxton is an American printer [1] , who was active for the Zappa fanzine Society Pages (The Magazine) and also performed with Zappa and The Mothers during Jesus Thinks You're A Jerk, recorded on Broadway The Hard Way.
Frank Zappa
Buxton followed the '88 band around the East Coast, got to know most of the personnel, and was finally invited on stage with the band to perform The Twilight Zone soliloquy in Jesus Thinks You're A Jerk, where Zappa introduces him as: "the dynamic Eric Buxton". He also received special thanks at the end of The Untouchables. All of Buxton's contributions can be heard on Broadway The Hard Way.
On 23 May 1989, Buxton was one of several associates of Zappa who attended a panel discussion between Pierre Boulez and Frank Zappa at the UCLA, moderated by David Raksin (see An Evening With Pierre Boulez And Frank Zappa). [2] [3][4]
In April, June and September 1990, Buxton, Den Simms and Rob Samler interviewed Frank Zappa for their fanzine Society Pages (The Magazine) in the free-part interview: They're Doing the Interview of the Century, Part 1,They're Doing the Interview of the Century, Part 2 and They're Doing the Interview of the Century, Part 3.
In 1991, Buxton was also special guest during the Zappa's Universe concert. [5]
