"The Killer Shrews" (1959) is an American horror and science fiction movie by Ray Kellogg. It tells the story about a group of people who strand on an island where an evil scientist has created large shrews who attack every human they see.

The film has become a cult classic due to its ridiculous cheap special effects, including the monstrous large shrews just being dogs with shrew costumes.

In Fifty-Four Fab, Boss Questions ..., The Fanzine Questionnaire and the book Movies For A Desert Isle, Zappa named "The Killer Shrews" one of his favorite films.

The film was also shown in Mystery Science Theater 3000, where during one scene where the shrews attack the presenters shouted: "Weasels Ripped My Flesh! Rzzzz!"
