Sun Myung Moon (February 25, 1920 - 3 September 2012) was a Korean cult leader and founder of the Unification Church. He was best known for his record breaking mass weddings. Moon often did business with televangelist Jerry Falwell and financed several Republican Presidents, including Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan. He also founded the right-wing newspaper The Washington Times. During the 1980s Moon was convicted of tax fraud.
