Louie Bellson (July 6, 1924 - February 14, 2009) was an American jazz drummer, composer, arranger and musical educator. He played in the bands of Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Harry James, The Dorsey Brothers and Duke Ellington.
He was married to actress/singer Pearl Bailey.

Interviewed by Deborah Parisi in Zappa 89-7, Rhythm, July 1989, Frank Zappa said: "The first drummer that I really thought was fantastic was Louie Bellson. I thought he was hot stuff."
