David Ocker.

David Ocker was a copyist, synclavier programming engineer, and clarinetist. He was introduced by Richard Emmet to Frank Zappa. Ocker worked for Zappa between 1977 and 1984, until he was succeeded by Bob Rice. He provided clarinet and/or bass clarinet for:

• Sheik Yerbouti
• You Are What You Is
• London Symphony Orchestra Vol. I
• London Symphony Orchestra Vol. II
• Quaudiophiliac

and provided synclavier programming for:

• Boulez Conducts Zappa: The Perfect Stranger
• Thing-Fish
• Francesco Zappa

In 1992, Zappa contacted Ocker to work on The Yellow Shark as a musical assistant, but financial disagreements eventually led to him being replaced by Ali N. Askin.
