Davey Moire
Davey Moire was recording engineer for Frank Zappa from 1975 until Zappa's death in 1993. He worked on Zappa's own albums, but also records produced by Zappa, like Good Singin' Good Playin' by Grand Funk Railroad. Apart from engineering, he also provided occasional vocals on albums like Zoot Allures, Studio Tan, Sheik Yerbouti, the Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar series, and Läther.
Moire sings the high-pitched vocals at the end of Wind Up Workin' In A Gas Station and during Disco Boy. [1] His high-pitched voice can also be heard during the background vocals of Lemme Take You To The Beach[2] , I Have Been In You and Jones Crusher.[3]
He's also the one who wonders "whatever happened to all the fun in the world?" during What Ever Happened To All The Fun In The World and who grins "Leather"! during We Gotta Get Into Something Real. [4]
