BUFO BOREALIS [12-16 / 30º-75º], one of the constellations in the "One Size Fits All" (1975) "universe", has a star named "Bufo speciosus".
Scientists call him "Bufo speciosus", the Japanese call him "Texas-Hiki-Gaeru", but us regular folks just call him "Texas Toad". He measures 50-90mm (in most toad species, females are larger than males). He has a rough, warty skin, he hops rather than leaps, and he possess horizontal pupils; skin gland secretions contain toxins which deter predators. He can be found in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and New Mexico.
