Richard Kostelanetz (14 May 1940) is an American writer and critic. He has written various books and essays about literature, politics, theatre and music.
Kostelanetz wrote various books about John Cage, such as: Thirty-Five Years of Critical Engagements with John Cage (1996), John Cage Ex(plain)ed (1996) and Conversing with Cage (2003).
He is also the author of The Frank Zappa Companion (1997).
