Johnny Cash (b. John R. Cash 02/26/1932 Kingsland, AR, d. 10/12/2003 Nashville, TN) was one of the most influential country singers. He had a very distinct style and voice. He championed Bob Dylan.[1] He sang his country songs, as well as rock covers (at least later in life) such as "Rusty Cage" by Soundgarden. He was supposed to perform Ring Of Fire with Zappa, as heard on The Best Band You Never Heard In Your Life album, however his wife was sick and he could not make the show. Mike Keneally would sometimes parody his voice on songs.
