Black Oak Arkansas are an American rock band who were most successful during the 1970s.

Zappa played one of their songs, "Hot and Nasty" (1971), three times as a guest DJ, on The Dr. Demento Show (December 1973), WSTM, Chicago (21 November 1974) and WLIR, Long Island (20 December 1979), respectively.
