The man clearly has British accent (like the screaming guy in the audience – so the concert most likely took place in the UK) while John is an ex-policeman from the Washington DC, Baltimore area and was FZ's employee around 1975–1984. John can be heard and watched on a few videos and IMHO one can even hear that he is a black American, with a much deeper voice than the "Man in Uniform". | The man clearly has British accent (like the screaming guy in the audience – so the concert most likely took place in the UK) while John is an ex-policeman from the Washington DC, Baltimore area and was FZ's employee around 1975–1984. Man in Uniform
Was the "Man in Uniform" possibly John Smothers?
The man clearly has British accent (like the screaming guy in the audience – so the concert most likely took place in the UK) while John is an ex-policeman from the Washington DC, Baltimore area and was FZ's employee around 1975–1984. John can be heard and watched on a few videos and IMHO one can even hear that he is a black American, with a much deeper voice than the "Man in Uniform".

Source of second part
Looking at (and listening to) a recording of the May 23, 1969 Appleton, Wisconsin show, I have found that part of that performance of "Little House I Used To Live In" corresponds nearly exactly (barring some speed differences and probable overdubs) to the second section (1:43-4:18) of the released version. I've never, ever seen this mentioned anywhere as the source of this part of the track. I don't want to edit this article to include that date, though, as there's always the possibility I'm completely wrong (though I very much doubt I am), and I'd like a second opinion.
