Henry Rollins (born Henry Lawrence Garfield; February 13, 1961 in Washington, D.C.) is an American rock singer, actor, DJ, activist and stand up comedian. He is most famous as the lead singer of Black Flag and for his politically left wing comedy routines and activities.

Rollins & Zappa

Rollins is both a fan of Zappa's music and quotes in interviews. He grew up with a few of his records (Apostrophe ('), Bongo Fury) and as a professional musician on the road he received other records (Burnt Weeny Sandwich, Hot Rats, Weasels Ripped My Flesh,...) from bandmembers and other rock artists. Rollins admitted that he respects Jazz From Hell as an interesting album, but never wants to hear it again. On December 4, 2010 Rollins devoted an entire radio show on KRCW to Zappa to commemorate his death date. Rollins opened his show with the quote "Information is not knowledge (...) Music is the best." (from Packard Goose) and played the following tracks:

  1. Hungry Freaks, Daddy
