Laurel Canyon is a canyon neighborhood in Los Angeles, not far from Mulholland Drive and an important transit corridor between West Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley.

Frank Zappa

Frank Zappa lived in Laurel Canyon in 1968, in The Log Cabin, and between 1968 and his death in 1993, at 7885 Woodrow Wilson Drive.

The location is mentioned in Plastic People: "And there's this guy from the C.I.A. and he's creeping around Laurel Canyon".

It is also mentioned in Telephone Conversation: "If he didn't get ya in Laurel Canyon, he won't get you here."

In Data For Sensitive or Critical-sensitive Position Zappa named Laurel Canyon as his "favorite place". Interviewed for Discoscene (February 1968), he also named Laurel Canyon the place he would like to live. [1].
