Andreas Rausch (b. 18 December 1963) is a German comic artist, writer and video analyst. He is best known for his graphic novel Zappaesk (2005) and his video series The Dog & Frank Zappa (2025-...)
Frank Zappa
Andreas Rausch became a Zappa fan at age 12, when he discovered Roxy & Elsewhere and Over-Nite Sensation and was particularly interested in the intellectualism of Zappa's music.[1]
In 2005, he drew a comic book about Frank Zappa, Zappaesk, partially a biopic and an imaginative interpretation of Zappa's music, life and general attitude. [2] [3]
Rausch also hosts a similar analytical video series on Youtube, titled The Dog & Frank Zappa, built around archive footage of Frank Zappa and remixes of Zappa's music, philosophizing about and exploring Zappa's work. [4]
