Gabby Hayes (May 7, 1885- February 9, 1969) was an American actor, best known for playing Windy Halliday in "Hopalong Cassidy" and hundreds of other sidekicks in movie westerns. From 1950 to 1954 he presented his own TV show.
He is name-dropped by Ike Willis in Sunshine Of Your Love as a pun on the previous song Purple Haze.
