The U.S.O., short for United Service Organizations is a non-profit organisation providing live entertainment for U.S. Armed Forces overseas, established on 4 February 1941.
Zappa targeted them in his song Would You Go All The Way? as "the monster from the U.S.O.", but in the context of a group of teenagers watching Monster Movies in a theater. In 1971, when Zappa went to trial with the Royal Albert Hall in London after his concerts were protested because of obscenity, he explained the lyrics to Mr. Justice Mocatta.
