The Short Girl is a character who appears in Zappa's songs Sofa (Fire!), Divan, Magic Pig and Divan Ends Here. In Zappa's Latest Box Of Tricks (Interview by Steve Peacock, Sounds, 27 November 1971), Zappa talks about a never-produced film project, Billy The Mountain, which featured The Short Girl.
She is created by God, along with Squat the magical pig. In Sofa (Fire!), her name is revealed to be Wendell.
The Short Girl mights have a connection with The Short Forest and Dwarves.
