Phyllis Altenhaus is presumably the name "Fyllis", mentioned by Zappa in the sleeve of Freak Out! (1966), under the heading: "These People Have Contributed Materially In Many Ways To Make Our Music What It Is. Please Do Not Hold It Against Them". [1] (Another suggested person is Phyllis Rubino, a teacher at Zappa's school who had a rock with a sign on it that read: Help, I'm a Rock, which inspired Zappa to his song Help, I'm A Rock[2] )
Altenhaus assisted with the editing of the Uncle Meat movie in which she plays "herself" and Sheba Flieschman, being seduced by Don Preston and hamburgers.
