Miss Mercy, full name Mercy Fontenot, moved into the L.A. Sunset Strip 'freak' scene from Haight Ashbury's laid-back hippie culture, deciding she "couldn't be a hippie forever". She became part of the Franzoni commune and, susequently, a member of the GTO's.
