Template talk:Disambig
Can we now get rid of the clumsy (The Film) and/or (The Album) type headings and disambiguate via a disambiguation page?
Well no. A disambiguation page lists all of the possible incarnations of an "ambiguous name" - it is where a visitor should, by default, arrive when he does a search. Example: a visitor searching for "Them Or Us" should end up at a disambig page entitled "Them Or Us (Disambiguation)" - and "Them Or Us" (the page) would be a redirect to this disambig page. On the "Them Or Us (Disambiguation)" page, we would post links to all the relevant pages - "Them Or Us (The Album)", "Them Or Us (The Book)", "Them Or Us (The Track)". So what it boils down to is even more - what you call - "clumsy" type headings. I'm afraid there's no other way to go about this; but by all means correct me if I'm wrong... :-)
