Suzy Creamcheese (boutique)
The Suzy Creamcheese Boutique, named after the recurring character Suzy Creamcheese on Frank Zappa's earliest records, was located in Las Vegas at the turn of the 1960s into the 1970s. The founder and owner was Leslie Fearon [1] (?- February 12, 2017). [2]
Many people went shopping at Suzy Creamcheese, including Hollywood actresses like Ann Margret, Shirley MacLaine and pop musicans like Elvis Presley, Cher, Stevie Nicks and Dionne Warwick. [3]
The boutique is credited in the liner notes of Lynn Anderson's album Even Cowgirls Get The Blues (1980) for costume design. [4]
In Martin Scorsese's film Casino (1995), Sharon Stone also mentions the Suzy Creamcheese boutique in one scene.
It can be assured that Frank Zappa had no involvement, nor knowledge, of the boutique's existence, as he would've presumably sued them.
