Sonny Tufts
Sonny Tufts (16 July 1911, Boston, Massachussets, USA – 4 June 1970, Santa Monica, California, USA) was a United States film actor. He attained some fame during World War II, principally because he was one of the few handsome male actors not serving overseas in the war. Nevertheless, he was mostly a B-movie actor, starring in, for instance, the science fiction film with a Papier Mache Spider Cat Women of the Moon (1953). His role as Tom MacKenzie in The Seven Year Itch (1955) with Marilyn Monroe was his only major mainstream film role.
In the 1980s Tufts was best known as one of the semi-random people and places that TV host Johnny Carson used in his jokes.

Zappa mentioned Sonny Tufts in the sleeve of Freak Out! (1966), under the heading: "These People Have Contributed Materially In Many Ways To Make Our Music What It Is. Please Do Not Hold It Against Them".
