In 1968 a few minutes of Zappa and the Mothers was included in the 28 minute film Sex in Today's World - An examination of changing sexual attitudes in the United States, including comments on the personal and sociological significance of the changes of the time.

Jerome Kagan, professor of developmental psychology at Harvard, discusses how children acquire gender and role identity.
