The Red Velvet was a nightclub and music venue at 6507 in Hollywood, California, at Sunset Boulevard.

Frank Zappa advertised it in the sleeve of Freak Out!, under the header "Freak Out! Hot Spots", as follows: "The Red Velvet is HQ for the plastic & pompadour set with lotsa hard rock & blue-eyed soul to TURN YOU ON, BABY. Located at 6507 Sunset Blvd (466-0861)."
