Founded by Ann Patty in 1982. Patty was Publisher and Editorial Director of Poseidon Press (an imprint of Simon & Schuster) where she published the like of: Mary Gaitskill, Frank Zappa and Graham Swift.

Poseidon Press closed in 1993.
