Miss Ivancic was Frank Zappa's English teacher at the Mission Bay High School in San Diego. In The Real Frank Zappa Book, Zappa wrote that, after being caught trying to blow up his school building with explosives, she ordered him to leave class and talk to a fire marshal at the dean's office.
