Joe Chiccarelli

Started working in his cousin's recording studio in Boston. Moved to LA late 1970's and worked as an assistant engineer at the Cherokee Studios. As a junior member of the team he was assigned the "difficult" clients such as the moody and demanding Zappa.

When the senior engineer did not show up for a session Zappa gave Chiccarelli the job. They would work together on several albums:
