Jeff Hollie was a college friend of Ike Willis, who introduced him to the music of Frank Zappa. When Willis joined Zappa's band in 1979, Willis paid Hollie tribute by letting him provide tenor sax on the album Joe's Garage Act I (1979), during the track Joe's Garage, after the line even if you played it on a saxophone is sung.[1]
