Dragon Master is a song Frank Zappa wrote on 1 May 1988 [1] while touring in Stockholm, Sweden. During a soundcheck in Sweden he performed the song, but it remained unreleased. The lyrics are a parody of heavy metal and were written by Zappa personally. Yet he gave the song to Dweezil so he could write his own musical arrangement to it. As such it's the only song co-written by Dweezil and Frank Zappa. [2] [3]
In 2015 Dweezil added a little Arabic theme with a dark metal riff, had Shawn Albro (of hard rock group U.P.O) sing it [4] and released Dragon Master on his album Via Zammata'. [5]
