Antelope Valley High School

In 1956, the Zappa family moved from San Diego to Lancaster, California. Zappa went to Antelope Valley High School, 44900 N Division St, Lancaster, CA 93534, Los Angeles County, where he also graduated in 1958.

Alma Mater: "Down in Antelope Valley with its skies so blue, / lies our Alma Mater neath the golden hue; / with its snow capped mountains and its poppies fair, / we know our fondest memories will always linger there".

In the list of influences in the sleeve of Freak Out!, Zappa would mention several teachers and school friends from Antelope Valley High. On the cover of We're Only In It For The Money Cal Schenkel used several photos of people from Zappa's high school year book.
